Multiple Openings. Software Engineer III (Operational Engineering/Supply Chain Planning) for Wayfair LLC in Boston, MA. Responsible for building platforms which allow Wayfair to predict which products to reorder and to which warehouse to utilize to correctly, deliver products to customers. Build platforms to manage product warehousing and delivery on behalf of large retail partners. Scale architecture and solve complex business problems as part of our fast-paced, agile environment. Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive great solutions to critical areas of growth for our business. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two years' experience performing PHP, SQL, and HTML design and development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five years of experience performing PHP, SQL, and HTML design and development. One year of experience must include: Performing web development using PHP, JavaScript and SQL, and designing back-end applications using PHP, MVC architecture, and SQL; Performing version control using GIT and SVN; Performing design and development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP to create scalable applications; Developing web applications to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility; Defining test plans and performing unit testing; Performing SQL database development including designing, queries, triggers and stored procedures, performance tuning, and performing data ETL; Utilizing Jenkins and Puppet to deploy application code into server environments; Interfacing with business product leaders and engineers to gather requirements and translate requirements into system design; and performing full-stack web programming using PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, React, Moustache and Handlebars.
