Multiple Openings. Software Engineer III (Operational Engineering/WMS Inventory Accuracy) for Wayfair LLC in Boston, MA to Build and maintain highly scalable systems for the Warehouse Management platform to process data for order fulfillment and inventory management. Perform software design and full stack development to create reusable application components. Develop technical solutions using PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX and SQL Server. Interface with business managers to perform requirements gathering. Perform code development, testing and production deployment to create applications that meet business needs. Deliver code reviews and mentor junior engineers. Understand warehouse workflow patterns in order to build solutions that meet business needs. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two years' experience performing PHP, Javascript and SQL design and development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five years of experience performing PHP, Javascript and SQL design and development. One year of experience must include: performing web development using PHP, JavaScript and SQL, and designing back-end applications using PHP, HTML, and JavaScript; performing version control using GIT and SVN; performing design and development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create scalable applications; employing engineering and optimization best practices regarding frontend web standards, code maintainability, page rendering, and browser performance; developing web applications to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility; architecting and defining test plans and performing unit testing for end-to-end warehouse workflows; performing SQL database development including designing, queries, triggers and stored procedures, performance tuning, and performing data ETL; utilizing Jenkins and Puppet to deploy application code into server environments; interfacing with business product leaders and engineers to gather requirements and translate requirements into system design; and performing full-stack web programming using PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, Moustache and Handlebars.
