Paysafe Pay Later (PPL) was acquired by Paysafe Group in 2015. Historically a stand-alone business it is now fully integrated within the group. PPL is the provider of white-label, e-commerce solutions which allow customers to buy now pay later. These products allows consumers to pay later for their goods and defer into more affordably monthly payment providing flexibility around budgeting and cashflow. In turn, this allows the merchant to sell more to existing customers and to reach new customers.  


Main Purpose

A critical role to enable Paysafe Pay Later to achieve its 3-5 year growth objective. Working along side the Head of Product and the CEO, GM of NA as well as  members of the PPL leadership team as well as other key stakeholders across the global Paysafe group, the individual will be responsible for developing and delivering the short and long-term product strategy for NA. The role will require the individual to have strategic insight into payment products and consumer behaviour across NA, astute product delivery capabilities and product management expertise to ensure deployment of products and product enhancements rapidly


Main Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Head of Product for PPL, develop a detailed short and long-term product strategy and roadmap for Paysafe Pay Later in North America.
  • Drive products from concept to launch, updates, enhancements and end of life.
  • Manage 3rd party partners with value add services that enhance the portfolio.
  • Own the value propositions, product descriptions, product availability and pricing.
  • During the initial product concept stage create product P&Ls in order to assess the ROI
  • Own the NA annual product plan that has executable tasks (e.g. Products, Price, Sales Volumes and Market Share).
  • Track actual results versus the plan and own the ever-changing risks & opportunities lists.
  • Take corrective action if there is an adverse variance and to take advantage if there are opportunities.
  • Have a solid understanding of the economic drivers to Paysfe Pay Later and be able to create initiatives to maximise revenue and gross margin.
  • Identify, develop, test and review innovation opportunities, commercially evaluating them in accordance with the global Paysafe methodology
  • Support the Head of Product PPL to drive innovation through Paysafe Pay Later.
  • Present thoughts and progress on projects at senior levels within potential and existing customer and industry organisations, to help influence the industry, and shape our vision/proposition over time.
  • Understand the solution developments with competitors and partners which may complement our offer; development of appropriate commercial partnerships (licensing in/acquisition etc).
  • Involve yourself in strategic sales opportunities as required, articulating product matters in way that is appropriate for your audience.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of market trends, concepts and best practice that could unlock opportunities for PPL. Using this understanding as an input to your product strategy.
  • Engage with customers at all levels in order to gain insight into their current and future challenges. Using this as an input to your product roadmaps.
  • Support Sales and Marketing in taking these propositions to market.


Key Competencies

  • Graduate or equivalent with excellent written, numerical and presentation skills
  • Min. 5 years professional experience in consumer finance product management role
  • Experience in bringing products to market.
  • Experience of working with development teams to propose, develop and launch new and innovative products to meet a new customer needs
  • Experience of enabling a culture of innovation which enables new areas of IP to be developed
  • Experience in creating and maintaining product strategy & vision, influencing stakeholders and winning buy in.
  • Able to analyse and keep abreast of market trends to make sure our propositions remain relevant and competitive.


Knowledge/Skills

  • Consumer finance experience in particular in the online unsecured lending space
  • Product Technical Management skills
  • Basic knowledge of Java/PHP/XML
  • Basic programming skills is an advantage
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Ability to interpret data
