Master Electronics has an exciting career opportunity for an ERP Programmer.  This ERP Programmer position is available due to the successful growth of our company. The candidate selected will be involved in the configuration, programming, support, and maintenance of a distribution focused ERP software application.  The candidate will provide the software development skills necessary to ensure successful translation of business requirements into ERP application functionality. This position operates in a DevOps model and solves business problems through the development and maintenance of an enterprise scale ERP system, supports system users throughout the United States, Canada, and Asia, and works within a cross-functional team to assist in ensuring a high degree of user functionality.
 

Key Responsibilities:

    Respo
    • nsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing, and maintenance of an enterprise scale ERP software application
    • Collaborates with end users, other programmers and functional manager to evaluate and develop application program enhancements that support business needs, prioritizes projects, and ultimately produces project estimates and associated final implementation plans
    • Write, test, and implement new program functionality as requested, with user stakeholder feedback as a key source of project input
    • Provide support, including off-hours support when needed, to critical business applications.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Minim
    • um of 3 years of experience working with an interpreted application programming language ( Visual BASIC,BASIC, PHP, PERL, Python, Ruby, PvXPlus) with a relevant degree, or a minimum of 5 years of experience working with an interpreted  application programming language ( Visual BASIC, BASIC, PHP, PERL, Python, Ruby, PvXPlus) (includes relevant intern, co-op, or basic work experience) l>
      • Demonstrated experience with Windows and/or UNIX-based operating systems as part of coding responsibilities
      • Advanced skills associated with application software design, modification, implementation, and deployment
      • Above average ability to translate business problems into software solutions
      • Ability to work with limited supervision in an environment where the leader and peers are geographically distributed
      • Must be able to occasionally work outside of core hours, as business conditions necessitate (e.g., implementation of new functionality, month-end processing, etc.)


    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      Agile
      • , DevOps, Test Driven Development, CI/CD and ITIL process experience
      • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Information Technology or similar related discipline
      • Previous experience programming ProvideX and/or PxPlus applications
      • Experience working in a structured enterprise environment using formal software development methodologies (e.g., formal Change Management and Release Management policies and processes)
      • Preferred geographic locations include Phoenix, AZ; Miami, FL, and Toronto, ON, Canada
