Your responsibilities 

We are currently looking for a Teamlead Backend to join us at our modern and exciting Berlin office.

• 
  

  You will be responsible for leading one of our Backend Teams (API, Feature, Core). This includes coaching, developing and growing the key skills of your team.

  You will be able to prioritise tasks and provide guidance in order to ensure timely delivery of projects. As a hands-on team lead you will spend half your time coding alongside your team. 

  
  


• 
  

  You will need to demonstrate the ability to hire and onboard top talents that align with and contribute to the Productsup culture.

  
  


• 
  

  You will also need to be able to work closely together with our Product Management team and other Backend team leads in order to implement new features.

  
  


• 
  

  Lastly, you will spread knowledge across our teams and consistently bring in new ideas as part of your role.

  
  

What you bring to the team

• 
  

  Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience, across projects and people

  
  


• 
  

  Preferable relevant educational background such as business informatics

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum 5 years’ work experience in PHP, MySQL

  
  


• 
  

  A good understanding of APIs and webservices as well as with command line programs

  
  


• 
  

  Deep knowledge of B2B SaaS and dealing with big data

  
  


• 
  

  Outstanding communication skills and excellent English skills, both written and spoken

  
  


• 
  

  open-minded and a nice person to work with
