The PHP Developer plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of tasks related to the
companys information technology functions.

This full stack development role is primarily responsible, under intermittent supervision,
for planning, designing, coding and supporting web applications in a LAMP environment using
industry best practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

? Produce unit tests
? Participate in creation of training materials, job aids, as well as any new rollouts or updates.
? Use expertise to answer questions from less experienced teammates.
? Monitor and optimize site usability.
? Implement security updates and patches as required.

? Participate in project planning sessions.
? Maintain and enhance in-house API's. Work with third party web services and API's.
? Respond to escalated platform bugs and issues that could not be resolved by more junior teammates.
? Maintain and enhance applications in PHP.

? Write, test, and debug customizations and new features using best practices and adhering to coding standards.
? Properly document functionality (design docs, in-line, wiki, etc).
? Identify, investigate, and resolve platform bugs and issues.

? Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

? Bachelor's degree required, BS in Computer Science or related field preferred, along with a minimum of three
years experience in software/web development related role(s).
? Proficient in LAMP architecture and OO Design Principles and Patterns .
? Proficient with Javascript/JQuery, AJAX/JSON, CSS and CSS Preprocessors
? Experience with PHP Frameworks (Laravel, Zend, Symfony)
? Proficient at creating and consuming REST APIs
? Working knowledge of Javascript frameworks (Angular, Ember, React)
? Working knowledge of Test Driven or Behavior Driven Development Methodologies
? Strong SQL Skills

? Strong UNIX scripting skills
? Strong debugging skills
? Proficient with using a VCS, preferably GIT.
? Experience with AS400 systems is a plus.
? Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to learn/adapt to new technologies and techniques.
? Ability to document processes and procedures.
? Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
? Excellent interpersonal skills required.
? Highly detail-oriented and organized.
? Ability to think critically, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions and determine the
long term impact of decisions and associated risks.
