Position: PHP Web Developer

Location: San Diego Headquarters

Reporting to: Chief Technical Officer

What We Need


We are looking for a PHP Web Developer to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Sr. PHP Developer, your job will include (but isn't limited to) :

  • Developing, modifying, and maintaining multiple PHP code bases
  • Developing, modifying, and maintaining multiple Laravel-based web applications
  • Editing HTML, CSS, Sass (SCSS), and jQuery across multiple websites and web applications
  • Working with APIs provided by vendors and other 3rd parties
  • Present key findings and status reports to upper management
  • Work in a collaborative environment with other Staff Programmers


Your Experience


We would love to hire someone that comes from a Performance Marketing background, however, we're open to any qualified applicants. Some "must haves" include:


General

  • 2+ years of working experience
  • Must be able to communicate efficiently via email, chat (Slack), or SMS
  • Must be fluent in English


Languages and Frameworks

  • Working knowledge of PHP, best practices, and object oriented programming (OOP)
  • Working knowledge of PSR Standards
  • Working knowledge of databases (MySQL or MariaDB)
  • Laravel 5 (this is an absolute must)
  • WordPress
  • CSS / Sass (SCSS) / Bootstrap
  • jQuery /Javascript
  • HTML / XHTML / HTML5


Protocols and Stack

  • Experience working with APIs (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
  • Experience with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)


Tools

  • Composer (basic usage + creating and working with private packages)
  • Npm
  • Gulp (for asset management)


Versioning

  • Git (basic usage)
