Silvercar Inc. is looking for a full-time WordPress marketing developer to build and maintain Silvercars WordPress-based websites (including www.Silvercar.com. www.us.audiselect.com, and www.Dealerware.com) and to provide development assistance with various digital marketing projects. In addition to demonstrating expertise with WordPresss front end and back end features and functionality, the ideal candidate will also possess strong HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP skills.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently handle the development and testing of a website from start to finish. This position involves working closely with marketing managers, product managers, and design and development teams across Silvercars three business units to gather insights and prioritize requests. This is a full-time position, reporting into the Director of Brand and the candidate will be required to work from Silvercars headquarters in Austin, TX.

As a WordPress Developer, you will:

    Code and implement responsive experiences on Silvercar Inc.s WordPress websites

    Optimize, modify, and debug current WordPress implementations

    Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline WordPress development cycle

    Conduct QA testing and roll out deployments

    Build marketing and transactional emails and email templates

    Suggest improvements of builds and technology

    Facilitate client WordPress training, site documentation, and maintenance

    Work with multiple teams across three business units to ensure successful, on-time delivery

    Work closely with agency and external developers to oversee and complete projects as needed

    Understand and make recommendations on SEO best practices

 Required qualifications:

    Expert-level experience working as a developer on customized WordPress themes and responsive sites. This means possessing a fluency with WordPress admin interface, building and formatting themes and content, handling menus, and managing custom post types, etc.

    Experience coding and verifying event tracking from systems such as Google Analytics or Adobe Site Catalyst into WordPress pages

    Strong coding skills and advanced experience writing and understanding front-end technologies and frameworks, including XHTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP

    Advanced knowledge of how to interact with APIs (e.g. map APIs, social media APIs, etc.), formats (JSON, XML), web services, and 3rd party platforms, libraries, etc.

    Ability to convert Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, and XD files into web-based projects like HTML templates for web pages and emails

    Ability to evaluate, implement, and edit WordPress plugins, ensuring that their additions will not have a negative impact on the CMS or sites frameworks

    Strong experience with cross-browser, platform, and device manual/automation testing

    Solid troubleshooting, bug tracking, and quality assurance methodologies

    Strong understanding of how code, plugins, APIs, etc. affect overall site performance

    Strong time management and multitasking skills in traditional and non-traditional development environments, allowing for the ability to turn productions around quickly while maintaining a high level of quality

    Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize while working on multiple projects

    Willingness to contribute to Silvercar and Audi Selects best practices by recommending, exploring and implementing better ways to deliver better, more optimize products

    Experience working within a team setting

 Even better if you have:

    Experience with dynamic and/or e-commerce websites

    Strong experience with WP Bakery
