JOB SUMMARY

As an Application Developer you will program new and/or maintain current Applications and assist in supporting critical web applications, support architecture/infrastructure of current applications, support development and maintenance testing of applications. Application developer shall learn current and emerging technologies and share this knowledge to other associates upon request. Also, using established software development processes, participate in solving complex technical problems. Has ability to communicate to manager the progress of assignment, including project timelines, issues, and contingencies. Develop acceptance test criteria and test plans.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with developing and maintaining PHP applications
• Experience with building high-impact data driven Java applications for database, communications, and reporting
• 5-7 years experience in PHP / Java / J2EE Development (position is primary PHP with about 25% Java on the back-end)
• Hands on experience of plain JDBC integration
• Demonstrated ability to create well documented code and documentation for team members and stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy code in various environments
• Solid understanding of coding standards
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills
• Associates in Computer Science or related field or higher

Preferred:

• Knowledge of XML, HTML5/6, CSS 3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Web Standards, HTTP and RESTful Web Services, REST APIs.
• Knowledge of other high-level programming languages (C++, Ruby, PERL)
• Hands on experience in Database Queries SQL capable of understanding stored procedure and writing complex queries
• Oracle Certified Professional Java and/or Zend PHP certification
