SPRING is responsible for over 60 products from more than 25 Brands and some of Europe's biggest news sites including BILD.de and WELT.de. Over 400 people at SPRING are working on an innovative media platform to make quality journalism accessible for everyone. We are providing a great user experience on both sides – for readers and journalists, connecting them with the newest technologies.

Challenges

You will join a passionate team of Full-stack Software Engineers who are developing an innovative CMS based on WordPress which is used by various brands of Axel Springer. We are using cutting-edged technologies, employ modern-day concepts to enrich the product and also build new ones. We work as DevOps and love Open Source.

• Work closely with Product Managers from several wide-ranging brands of Axel Springer


• Ensure a fast and responsive frontend for high frequently visited websites


• Design concepts to integrate cloud-based platform services into customer specific backend applications


• Take responsibility for development, implementation and maintenance of applications


• Work with different frontend technologies and environments (browser, mobile, data analytics, editorial systems)


• Test and maintain your work

What you should bring:

• Several years of experience in backend (PHP) and frontend engineering (JavaScript)


• Familiar with AWS, Docker, Software Design Patterns, SQL, NoSQL


• Knowledge of Vue.js or React


• Worked with REST APIs


• Ideally a good knowledge of test automation


• Focused and with a hands-on attitude


• Passion for code and for trying out new things


• Keen on user experience, accessibility and on experiments with new technologies


• Solution oriented and pragmatic personality who loves to be part of a cooperative team
