We are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead PHP Developer to take a leading role in our Marketing Technology Team.

The Marketing Technology team enables the online marketing of ABOUT YOU to manage over 30 marketing channels across multiple countries by automating the underlying processes and management of external marketing tools. We constantly monitor the correct setup by maintaining automated checks as well as real-time monitoring solutions.

Challenges the Marketing Technology Team will be working on in the next 12 months:

• Implement Google BigQuery as a replacement for certain aspects of our current MySQL’s responsibilities


• Build a resilient pipeline to distribute our attributed revenue data to online marketing partners


• Setup internal APIs for consumption by our online shops (mainly for internal search and search engine optimization)

What you will do

• Work closely with online marketing to identify their needs and proactively find solutions


• Lead a team by managing tasks, writing tickets and planning sprints for the team


• Review pull requests and push follow-up commits if necessary


• Handle communication with stakeholders, thus ensuring good stakeholder management


• Development with PHP in Laravel on AWS


• Integrate the APIs of external online marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adjust, Smartly, Doubleclick)

Who you are

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Software Development, preferably with PHP


• Having worked with Laravel for the past 1-2 years


• Experience with handling, querying and storing of large amounts of data with MySQL, Redis or Google BigQuery if possible


• Having knowledge about Online Marketing tools and home to the eCommerce environment


• Administration in Linux and Docker


• Exerted Leadership and managed a team in a previous position


• Very good written and spoken English skills
