Multiple Openings. Software Engineer III (Operational Engineering/ B2B Engineering) for Wayfair LLC in Boston, MA. Design and develop high impact full-stack applications using PHP, JavaScript, React, Redux, MSSQL and back-end processes involving data mining and analysis, workflow, and campaign management; serve as a team lead to architect solid, scalable products; mentor junior developers and ensure their effective contribution; write SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema design within a large database system; utilize reporting and monitoring tools including Kibana, Grafana, and InfluxDB; and build scalable systems with Kafka, Storm, and SOLR. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two years of experience performing full stack PHP, SQL, and JavaScript design and development or, alternatively, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and five years of experience performing full stack PHP, SQL, and JavaScript design and development. One year of experience must include: Performing web development using PHP, Java, JavaScript, Mustache, and SQL to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility; Performing scripting using Shell scripting and version control using GIT or SVN; Defining test plans and writing both unit and integration test using the PHPUnit framework; Performing design and development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create scalable applications and designing back-end applications using PHP/Java; Employing engineering best practices regarding frontend web standards, code maintainability, page rendering, and browser performance; Performing SQL and NoSQL database development including designing, queries, triggers, stored procedures, performance tuning, and performing data analysis.; Utilizing Jenkins and Puppet to deploy application code into server environments; Interfacing with business product leaders and engineers to gather requirements and translate requirements into system design; and Designing and developing new features for customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce and integrating them with company platforms and systems using API.
