WeatherWorks is a rapidly growing meteorological consulting firm with an extensive portfolio of web-based software applications. We’re seeking an experienced PHP-JavaScript developer to join our team. You’ll have the opportunity to design and build innovative applications aimed at delivering customized weather data to our varied client base including professional football and soccer teams, the motion picture industry, state/county highway departments, and even NASA.

The position will require a candidate that has at least 1-3 years of professional web development experience leveraging PHP, Apache, MySQL, and JavaScript. Previous demonstrable experience developing solutions using PHP application frameworks as well as JavaScript UI frameworks will be viewed favorably.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations team members to create, enhance, and maintain weather-based business software products - responding quickly to competitive market needs, customer demands, and new opportunities.

Be comfortable operating in an agile manner; utilizing minimally required details to produce deliverables that are refined through the delivery and post-production deployment process.

Maintaining familiarity with technologies used by company applications and staying up to speed with current market trends.

Requirements

Must have development abilities proven by examples of professional projects.

1-3 years of recent experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

Familiarity with Linux command line.

Experienced using Git.

Driven individual. Able to operate on their own and deliver on assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner. Reporting to management immediately if encountering significant challenges in completing assigned work.

Ability to work onsite in our Hackettstown, NJ office.

Bonus Skills

Experience with PHP application frameworks (e.g., CakePHP, Laravel).

Familiar with PHP-based API frameworks (e.g., Slim, Lumen).

Experience using JavaScript UI frameworks (e.g., Vue, React).

Mobile application development.

Amazon Web Services.

Salary and Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000+ per year

Offer will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
