Visit Mesa, the destination marketing organization for the City of Mesa, is seeking a Digital Strategy Coordinator that will serve Visit Mesas Communications and Marketing departments and report daily to the Digital Strategy Manager (DSM). The Digital Strategy Coordinator will be responsible for creating dynamic content that will promote, protect and advance the Visit Mesa City Limitless® brand and other travel and lifestyle positioning in the local, regional, national and international markets in which it operates. This position will cross train on data analytics related to marketing campaigns, SEO reporting, consumer demographics, website traffic analysis, mobile app platforms and social media engagement and overall reach. Additional responsibilities include advanced knowledge of Visit Mesas internal technology processes and day-to-day functions including desktop performance, Microsoft platforms (MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint), CRM and CMS database systems, Cloud network server and supporting staff with proper functioning of presentations, laptop use, conference calling, online meetings, and more as needed. DIGITAL STRATEGIES             CMS Support: Execute daily website administration duties as assigned by the DSM and monitor proper functionality in real time and support the day-to-day tactical needs related to website performance            Develop and distribute mass email communications             Contribute and encourage updated digital strategies to benefit brand advancement and communications related to website and social media            Identify and learn how Visit Mesa analyzes metrics related to marketing initiatives, including click-through rates, open rates and Web behaviors            Analyze social media feeds and their activity for optimal growth and conversion, most prominently Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest communities            Weekly maintenance of email subscriber database based on unsubscribes and new opt-ins            Supports the DSM on the development of digital ad campaigns and related URLs working with HAPI ad agency and Visit Mesas media partners            Cross train on the management of our Visitors Center digital kiosks (Mobi Manage)             Develop custom campaigns and travel app push messages on the Visit Mesa mobile application            Train on Crowdriff feeds and monitor the seasonal rotation of Crowdriff galleries on VisitMesa.com, oversee hashtag rights usage and update the Crowdriff Google Vision Image Gallery regularly
COMMUNICATIONS            Contribute to social media content calendar, brand voice and messaging; offer input each week related to fresh content development for Visit Mesas social media feeds             Build blog posts for VisitMesa.com weekly and boost the visibility of the blog using Google Business e-tool platform, blogs will be drafted and approved by Communications Coordinator            Load all pre-drafted social media messages received from the Communications Coordinator onto Sprout Social (management software) and schedule distributions with approval             Establish Snapchat geo-fences for themed filters as defined by Partnership deliverables             Conduct daily administration on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook             Develop Instagram static posts, weekly stories and anchored highlights to enhance optimum views on the platform; develop and identify lifestyle video content for IGTV             Track all Visit Mesa generated social posts in the CRM (monthly)             Enhance Mesa profiles and presence on outside social platforms and Mesa-branded feeds including TripAdvisor, Expedia, Google, Travelocity and others.  INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)Serve as backup IT liaison for company hardware and software with vendors (ex: Evolve), including hardware maintenance and software updates to minimize downtown periodsProvide backup support for any staff technical issues
SIMPLEVIEW CRMServe as a simpleview coordinator for the Customer Relations Management (CRM) databaseHelp support the simpleview CRM ticketing system to resolve technical issuesParticipate in meetings with simpleview CRM team to train and resolve technical issuesSupport the importing of lists into the CRM to ensure consistent information and ongoing data cleanup.
JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation            Bachelors degree or higher in web development, computer science, digital marketing, or related field preferred  Marketing & Communications Experience            One to three years of experience in the field of data technology, web development, digital marketing or similar            Experience with website development related to DMO or hospitality industry            Must be proficient in social media platforms            Exceptional written and interpersonal communications skills
Technical Knowledge/Expertise            Working knowledge of HTML and CSS required; PHP and JavaScript knowledge a plus; Experience in Drupal (CMS) a plus            Multimedia experience with e-newsletters, social media, digital photo and video projects is required            This position will develop analytical skills based on Visit Mesa metrics and data points            Knowledge of Google Analytics
Team Skills            Capacity to achieve short- and long-term results with little supervision            Ability to work in a team environment
Other Skills/Requirements            This position will be facilitated from the headquarters office in Mesa            Ability to speak and write languages in addition to English is a plus
