The role:
We are looking for an in-house, Full-Stack Web Developer to join our growing Professional Services team. The Full-Stack Web Developer role at Miva is an exciting and fast paced position that will challenge you with new problems to solve and new technologies to learn.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to become an expert in eCommerce strategies and best practices. You will work with clients in a wide array of industries and be instrumental in positioning them within the eCommerce space to outsell their competitors. You will get to work and collaborate with our all-star team of Web Developers and industry professionals, who have decades of combined experience in both web development and in the eCommerce space.

You will:Develop applications and solutions to meet project requirements set by clients and product ownersWork within a team-based agile development environment to collaboratively deliver software within agreed upon sprint commitmentsDiscover creative solutions to unique and challenging problemsParticipate in website quality assurance activities, including code reviews, integration, regression, and performance testingManage time and efficiency to meet project deadlines and deliver within estimated time framesTroubleshoot and resolve issues discovered on client websites
You have:3+ years of experience (corporate or freelance) in a web development environment, preferably working on an eCommerce platform3+ years working with back-end technologies (PHP, ASP.NET, Python, Ruby, Perl)3+ years working with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JavaScript libraries / frameworks, automation tools)True passion for building innovative web applicationsExperience developing for a mobile-first environment based on responsive web design mock ups and prototypesStrong understanding of RDBMS (we use MySQL) a plusKnowledge and understanding of web requests and responses (HTTP)Experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC)Experience working with content management systems (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal)Basic understanding of optimizing sites and web pages for performance, page speed, and SEOAbility to learn and use new technologies and languages quickly
Bonus points if you have:Experience working with .htaccess and understanding of server level resources and toolsExperience developing secure applications adhering to PCI compliance standards
