In-Houe Position No Telecommuting 
ConexED builds ADA and FERPA compliant video chat software based on the webRTC API to enable students to communicate with faculty, counselors, academic advisors, teaching assistants, mentors and tutors. With the click of a button, students can get the help they need when they need it the most. Our customers include UC Berkeley, University of Utah, University of Texas, Georgia State, University of Minnesota and over 100 colleges in the Federation of California Community Colleges.
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack PHP/Javascript developer to help scale our appointment scheduling platform to compete with the likes of calendly.com, timetrade.com and appointy.com. We want someone who can brainstorm an idea, spec it out, then make it happen. We are not just creating a product, we are developing a platform with many facets across the EdTech industry. Thinking three steps ahead based on our collective vision is vital. You will be a part of the core team.
You will work on modernizing our content management system by upgrading from Zend Framework 1.12 to Zend Framework 3.Knowledge of Zend Framework plugins, modules and services.

Responsibilities:Brainstorm, spec and build new featuresMaintain and update PHP/Javascript code for PHP and framework version upgradesRefactor existing code for better performance/readabilityBuild new features as required
RequirementsExperience in PHP coding, code and performance optimization, debugging and unit testingExperience in Javascript codingProficient in MySQLProficient in EC6 JavascriptExperience using and working with projects stored on GitHubTeam player that can instruct and coach other programmersSelf-motivated, change the world attitude
Other Preferred Skills:Linux and Nginx setup, bash scripting and administrationExperience using Docker Containerization with bonus points for KubernetesExperience with Zend Framework, Symfony, Express, Django or other frameworkExperience with modern JS frameworks/libraries (eg. ReactJS, Bacon.js, Angular, Underscore.js)BS in Computer Science
