Vivid Racing is a USA based performance automotive parts company. We have been in business since 2001 and are very successful with our online website www.vividracing.com. This LONG evolution of a PHP platform is the workhorse behind our sales and marketing. To continue our success with Vivid Racing and our sub sites, we need a very talented and experienced PHP/Mysql developer that can integrate into our existing team.

The primary objective of this person is to work with our development environment for implementing and automating inventory, orders, and product information. To improve automation for these needs, some vendors may not supply APIs or FTP and we have to use a email process to gather info from excel sheets. One of the most important functions will be the need to scrape product data from websites to arrange it in our product format or supply it to our data team to complete. The more automation the better!
Other Aspects of the Job:, Help improve our internal tools for managing data and deploying code.Work with SEO experts to optimize our search presence.Manage a fleet of smaller store sites or wordpress sites for speciality brands we own.Collaborate with other developers using Git and participate in code reviews.Help define requirements, make time estimates, and ultimately deliver!
What we're looking for in a person:Demonstrable experience writing clean, well-documented PHP code.Ability to write and optimize MySQL queries.Linux server administration experience. (RHEL/CentOS)Work with to take projects from concept to completion through agile SDLC methodology (SCRUM)Front-end skills with JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS, Sass, Bootstrap.Experience with integrating third-party SOAP, REST, JSON APIs.A solid grasp of collaboration with Git, especially with a feature branch workflow.Solid understanding of web security.Writing and thoroughly testing code in a development sandbox.
