Lead Engineer for a Berlin IoT/AI Startup in Renewables (f/m)

Your future achievements

• You are responsible for the further development and the operation of our core product: the MySOLYTIC Portal


• With your experience, you will actively contribute to the further development and operation of our servers, as well as to the design of our hosting architecture


• You build up a strong engineering team together with the founders and take responsibility for leading it


• Working closely with the Product Management team to help them create tasks based on needed features for business


• You propose and make technical decisions in all aspects of the product and help to optimize it for best performance and speed


• Give guidance to the engineers in developing a modern, data-intense high scalability application


• Grow our tech-organization and foster an agile, modern engineering culture; analyzing, planning, estimating and distributing tasks


• Develop engineering principles and standards of clean code, efficiency and maintainability

Your profile:

• Were looking for a passionate PHP expert and clean code lover with additional knowledge of Frontend technologies such as vanilla Javascript, Angular and Webpack


• Extensive knowledge of designing and building data-intense PHP Applications and knowledge of big data infrastructure and IoT


• Experience in designing, building and operating high scalability applications


• Experience in operating high frequency MySQL databases


• Experience with AI/ML applications is considered a large plus


• Take responsibilities for the diverse projects from the infrastructure to the last line of code


• Excellent communicator with strong ability to motivate as well as teach and mentor other team members


• Ability to quickly grasp the bigger picture and a good understanding of business processes and product development


• Fluent in English and very good knowledge of German


• Bachelor or Master studies in Informatics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or similar is considered a large plus
