Duties and responsibilities The company creates some of our industry's most cutting-edge software products Create and maintain software Help to develop critical products for our clients, and offer excellent technical support Write, edit, maintain, and test computer software. Software Developers follow the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to plan, design, build, test, and deploy software applications, ranging from websites and mobile applications to web applications Develop and implement new software programs Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues Design and update software and databases Test, document, and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science required, Masters degree in MIS, MBA or related preferred 10+ years experience in web and software development 7+ years experience with Business Systems Good to Expert level understanding of Project Management Concepts Outsourcing experience and management Project Management Documentation experience Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary MVC Application architecture GitHub (repository) MySQL (or another type of SQL will suffice) Significant "LAMP" or (Linux (operating system) and Apache HTTP Server experience Basecamp Project Management platform or applicable At least four years experience with Linux-based hosting administration Candidate must have some experience with AWS or other cloud hosting Must have the ability to allocate and set up a new server Web Development (UI/Front End) CSS3 / CSS Pre-Compiler Use (LESS/SASS/Stylus) PHP 5+, PHP Framework Experience (Laravel, Symfony, etc) HTML5 Laravel PHP framework knowledge KnockoutJS JavaScript experience Gulp / Grunt JavaScript task runners JavaScript unit testing with Jasmine and Karma Bootstrap3 Drupal Less than 10% travel will be expected for this position
