Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer, PHP Backend Developer, to join our agile engineering team in San Jose CA.  Working with the Securly Team is a unique and exciting challenge because you are involved in projects from the ideation stage all the way through to execution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a scientific or technical discipline


• 3+ years of experience in web backend chops 


• Need mastery of the LAMP (PHP) stack 


• Need mastery of usual web backend technologies such as MVC architecture, Ajax, RESTful API, JSON, Singleton, PDO etc 


• Preferred knowledge of Networking (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Proxying, etc)


• Understanding of SQL / noSQL databases (Mysql, Redis, ElasticSearch) 


• Preferred knowledge of frameworks like Angular.js, Node.js 


• Nice to have knowledge of HTML5, JS/CSS, XML etc 


• Knowledge of Agile software engineering principles 


• Experience working with globally distributed teams 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop new user-facing features


• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders


• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability


• Develop API's to extend product functionality
