We are insurtech company with offices in Frankfurt. We are on a mission to make insurance easily available to everyone with just a few clicks on their device. To achieve this we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who will add value to the team.

We work in a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere, where we take stress seriously and try to minimize it. We hate overtime and think that it makes projects more late. We always make tasks clear and straightforward before starting to work on them. We like iterations and user feedback, and we organize our work accordingly.

• You will join our small experienced cross-functional team who practice scrum the right way, write tests and documentation religiously, and are working in a relaxed and familiar atmosphere.


• You will never write monolithic applications and will always try to make code modular, testable, and easily extended.


• You will lead our team in restructuring the old legacy application that is written in PHP to a new architecture, and merging it to the new working Node.js system.


• You will make important architectural decisions, and make sure services are optimized, secured and scalable.


• You will design and optimize the database scheme.


• And you will do all this together with the team because we don't believe in rockstar developers, only in rockstar teams.

Candidates must have:

• Working knowledge of Node.js and its environment


• Professional experience in at least one other language (preferred PHP or Python)


• Experience using Linux server environment


• Professional experience with at least one relational DB


• Experience in Git or any other distributed source control management tool


• Business proficiency in English (German is a plus)

Strong candidates also have:

• Familiarity with managing and using CI tools


• Experience with MongoDB or any other NoSQL database


• Knowledge of agile methodologies


• Worked with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React or Angular)


• Used Docker or Kubernetes
