About the position

You’ll be an invaluable member of our Engineering Team, widely considered the backbone of Pomelo and composed of top specialists from across four different continents. Using the latest technologies and trends, you will assist in conceptualizing, planning, and creating ground-breaking new features that will enhance our user’s online experience. You’ll not only be responsible for carrying out individual projects, but help contribute your expert ideas and opinions to help shape the actual output.

Responsibilities:

• Rapidly deploying and testing new customer-facing features and user interfaces


• Build internal use tools and automate processes


• Optimize and develop new features for our backend


• Scale and optimize our IT infrastructure to handle fast-growing traffic

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in developing web apps


• Ability to communicate in English at a high level


• Exceptional coding skills in PHP, MySQL, Html, LESS, Javascript/Jquery 


• Knowledge in Frameworks like Laravel, PrestaShop, Magento, AngularJS, StrongLoop, ETC


• Familiarity with Architectural patterns like  MVC and  MVVM


• Familiarity with IDEs (NetBeans, Eclipse, PhpStorm, etc;)


• Familiarity with Linux platforms and Shell scripting


• Start-up or e-commerce experience is an added bonus


• BA/BS in Computer Science
