About the Team 


Tooling Team is a team of 4 persons and working closely with the development teams and customer-facing teams to continuously improve, support, secure, and operate our production and test environments. As well as boost developer teams' productivity by improving our development environments and continuous deployment setup. We have more than 10 product development teams working on providing value to our customers. They typically maintain one or more microservices that interact with each other. Teams continuously deploy their code to production. 



What you will really be doing


Technologies



  • Work with multiple technologies: PHP, MySQL, MSSQL, Memcache, Redis, RabbitMQ, Golang, Shell scripts, Docker, Git, Linux

  • High availability systems

  • Be part of the team that delivers the source code on 2000 servers distributed among 4 data centers worldwide

  • Take part in the research of new technologies and solutions for smoother deployment life cycle (CI/CD)



Coding



  • Modular ADR and MVC system development

  • OOP principles (Design patterns, SOLID, DRY, Yagni)

  • Clean code, covered by unit, integration and UI tests. (including TDD)

  • Long life-cycle application development (evolution of applications)

  • Design, develop and test software

  • Maintain and refactor legacy applications with current standards.

  • Agile development process in Scrum

  • Continuous Integration and Deployment Systems for daily based deployments, Git and GitHub Workflow

  • Contribute to OpenSource projects



Requirements



Expectations



  • 3 years of software development experience in PHP (experience in Golang is consider a great plus)

  • Hands on working on automation scripts (Bash, Windwos cmd)

  • Knowledge of Atlassian Products (Bitbucket, Bamboo)

  • OOP skills and knowledge of design patterns

  • Clean Coding is your most important principle

  • Experience with Relational Databases technologies

  • Passionate about self-improvement and web technologies, including REST APIs.

  • Upper intermediate English knowledge (B2) or higher



Desired Skills



  • Experience in any other Web Development technology

  • Knowledge of Unit Testing and Test Driven Development

  • Experience working with high-availability, high-performance, scalable systems

  • Team player

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies

  • Knowledge of Nexus and/or Sonarqube, (as service administrator) is very much welcome
