Lutron currently has an opportunity for a System Administrator for Engineering and Quality.  We have an opportunity for someone who is detailed-oriented, has a technical background, and enjoys working with people in various departments. In this role, you will have a direct impact on time-critical processes essential for new product development, engineering changes, and customer quality information collection and dissemination.


Systems include but are not limited to Agile which is the electronic document control system enabling creating and changing new and existing product parts and bills of materials electronically; IQS which is the electronic system that is utilized for several of our Quality processes such as Audits, Reviews, and Equipment Maintenance; Atlassian suite covering Confluence Wiki, Jira, bit bucket and Problem Job data base to track and manage the activity of customer jobs that require attention.


These systems will require an administrator to maintain and update their core functions to meet Lutron’s business needs as we continue to grow. The chosen administrator will work with each of these systems during continued development and implementation stages as new versions come out or configurable enhancements are required.



In this role you will:




  • Make configuration changes to systems




  • Monitor system functionality and database integrity




  • Work Closely with the IT organization to assure alignment




  • Conduct routine maintenance on database with upgrades




  • Develop and maintain additional functionality when required




  • Research and justify additional improvements to each system to improve Lutron’s overall product quality and efficiency




  • Development of report writing




  • Train employees and answer any related questions when they arise





A successful candidate must have advanced computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access).  Excellent presentation and communication skills. An associate’s degree and/or 2-5 years of equivalent experience in information systems and administration is preferred. Also, a working knowledge of VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, ASP, and PHP is a plus and will allow the person in this role to make a greater impact in engineering and quality.
