Job Title: Senior SharePoint Web Developer
Location: Remote
Term: On-going, Freelance
Roles & Responsibilities
Develops websites in SharePoint O365, SharePoint 2010, and .NET
Collaborates with Merck Creative Studios staff, as well as clients, in developing Web projects for the Company, specifically:
Assisting business analysts in defining project requirements
Assisting information architects in defining UI behaviors
Assisting project management in defining timelines and budgets
Communicates opportunities for business development and operational improvement to the interactive coordinator
Documents solutions and shares best practices with peers
Assists in the evolution of a studio repository for intellectual property, and complementary knowledge base
Tracks and enters time into department system
Discreetly handles proprietary and restricted information
Skills
Expertise in web development using SharePoint O365, SharePoint 2010, and MS SQL
Expertise in system integration using XML, JSON, custom APIs and web services
Expertise in mobile frameworks such as AngularJS
Excellent communication skills
Excellent written documentation skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to impart specific expertise in discussions with project managers, information architects, business analysts and other developers whenever appropriate
Versatility; flexibility, ability to manage many processes simultaneously
Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and common JQuery libraries
Working understanding of the environmental concerns inherent in an Enterprise IT environment
Experience
5+ years of website delivery experience, with 3+ years experience developing with Microsoft technologies, 3+ years experience in a creative agency environment, and 1+ year experience with O365.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred
Well-rounded website delivery experience preferred
